Until recently it was thought bracing Adult Degenerative Scoliosis or ADS may provide temporary relief only and long-term use would create muscle weakening and increase progression of scoliosis.
Advances in Scoliosis Bracing to a 3-D, Over Corrective, Super Corrective style has changed the outcome of long-term Scoliosis Bracing. These Braces create a mirror image positioning of the spine verses holding the spine in place, thus placing the spine in an over corrected position. The spine is also able to move in the direction of desired correction which prevents weakening of the spinal muscles.
